Barbara Odom-Wesley Spirit of Achievement Scholarship*

Elzie Odom Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship*

The Xi Theta Omega Foundation, in conjunction with the Xi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., will be awarding two academic scholarships this year to deserving high school seniors who have displayed high scholastic and academic achievement. The 2009 Elzie Odom Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded to one African-American male, and the Barbara Odom-Wesley Spirit of Achievement Scholarship in the amount of $2,500.00 will be awarded to one African-American female. The requirements for consideration of the scholarship include a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, a completed essay, letters of recommendation, attendance of high school in the Tarrant County area, and the applicant must be available for an in person interview.

Black Male Leadership Conference

The Architecture of a Man: Putting the Blueprint into Action – MALE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE for Young Males grades 6th thru 12th grade on programs and workshops in leadership training, professional development, male mentoring, and cultural empowerment.
