I am delighted to bring you greetings on behalf of the ladies of Xi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated! The sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha is the first Greek lettered sorority established by African American women. It was founded January 15, 1908, over 107 years ago on the campus of Howard University.
Xi Theta Omega Chapter was chartered on May 14, 1982 by twenty women with a vision. For over 33 years we have been efficiently serving Arlington and mid cities area. Through the years we have made a difference in lives by implementing service programs and activities which reflect the National program. We continue to enhance these communities and the world in which we live by supporting and executing the current International Program Initiative “Launching new Dimensions of Service” Educational Enrichment, Health Promotion, Family Strengthening, Environmental Ownership and Global Poverty are our five Initiatives.
The ladies of Xi Theta Omega Chapter are committed to uplifting communities and enhancing lives by being of “Service to All Mankind” in the 21st century.

FAMILY EXPO 2015: Promoting Strong and Healthy Families
The Xi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education, in partnership with the Business Department of Tarrant County College, will host its 19th Annual Arlington Family Expo on:
Date: Saturday, Feburary 21, 2015
Place: Tarrant County College (SE Campus) – 2100 Southeast Pkwy, Arlington, TX.
This unique, complimentary family-focused event provided valuable resources to almost 400 people in and around Tarrant County. Arlington Family Expo will address today’s growing need for financial responsibility and health awareness. The theme of the 2015 Expo is “Promoting Strong and Healthy Families” Through this event, the Sponsors are able to raise awareness about health issues and financial issues that affect the community and increase community education and involvement.

Our health initiatives encourage personal fitness and healthy life styles. We will support organizations which advance access to treatment and coordinate awareness and advocacy campaigns to reduce health disparities, save lives and impact health related legislation. Co-sponsored health forums will address: diseases which disproportionately affect women and minorities, prevention and treatment options.
